Year 3 Homework
Homework is set each week by the Class teacher. Classes within a year-group may be set different weekly homework.
In addition to the set homework, pupils will also have spellings which they will be expected to learn each week (utilising the ‘look, cover, write’ method) ready for a weekly test. The words included on the spelling list are differentiated to cater for the abilities of all pupils within the class.
Also, each pupil will have a reading and library book. Pupils are encouraged to read aloud every night, in order to develop their reading and comprehension skills. Library books are changed weekly; reading books are changed once the pupil has written a structured book review of the completed book (forms are available from the school library).
