Partnership with Parents
We believe that parents play a crucial role in helping their children to learn. Children achieve more when schools and parents work together. At Cambell we value your point of view and endeavour to find out your opinions. A questionnaire is sent home biannually, encouraging parents to let us know what they think of the school. Parents are also regulalry invited in to talk about various issues and developments.
We have a home-school agreement, which sets out the roles of the school, parents and pupils. The contract is signed by all parties and provides clear expectations for each of the partners involved.
We beleive that the agreement will contribute to the development of a whole school approach to partnership with parents and pupils.
What to do if you have concerns
If you have concerns we promise to deal with problems sympathetically and promptly. The approach to be adopted is detailed below:
- First, talk to the class teacher.
- Then talk to the Headteacher.
- Talk to the Headteacher again if necessary.
- Talk to a Parent Governor or the Chair of Governors. They will
see the Headteacher and report back to you, or they may talk
to the whole Governing Body - still not satisfied?
- Compain in writing to the Director of Education, Arts and
Libraries, Town Hall, Barking.
