Lunchtime Arrangements

During the midday break (between 11.30am to 12.25pm for lower school and 12:30pm to 1:25pm for upper school) children are expected to remain in school or to go home. They are not allowed to leave the premises to go to the shops or to wander around the streets. The vast majority remain in school and either have a school meal or bring a packed lunch from home. A register is kept of all childre who go home for lunch.

The cost of a school meal is £1.75, although free meals are available to low income families - please contact the school office for information and advice.

Everyone requiring a school meal needs to have a dinner ticket and we ask parents to pay daily. Tickets are issued before school starts each morning in order to prevent disruption to lessons, so children need to be in school by 8.45am.

Midday Supervisors are employed to supervise only the children who remain at school, so those who go home should not return until 5 minutes before the end of the appropriate lunch break.
